Daybreak's Supreme Romance 1988 to 2005
Daybreak's Supreme Romance was humanely put to rest on January 12, 2005. Out of Daybreak Farm's Foundation Mare, Real Romance, "Indy" was nick named after the Indiana Jones character because of all the "adventures" in which he somehow found himself. Daybreak Farm sold him as a coming 2 year old, but he returned home in 1996 when Daybreak customer Lisa L. Kay purchased him as her first real show horse. Indy taught Lisa much during their years together as show partners and he gave her the base of knowledge, skill and confidence necessary to succeed in competition. In his last couple years at Daybreak, Indy helped teach and introduce countless students to Saddlebreds and showing. He was tolerant and trustworthy and loving and kind.
If you knew Indy well, you knew he gave hugs. His nicker of hello could melt your heart. And when asked, he would twirl his own lead rope, in both directions, to the amazement of his admirers. Indy was truly loved by all who knew him. We will miss him.
